You are an overcomer

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed 2Corinthians 4:8-9. Determine not to spend all of your time looking at your troubles, dwelling on your pain, and thinking of how you have been cast down. Do not throw a pity party today, tell yourself “I am an overcomer through Jesus Christ my Lord and savior”. You might be facing some challenges, but God’s going to see you through it. Do not be distressed, depressed, perplexed or in despair. God is with you and is greater than anything you are facing right now. Focus on your God, not on your problems. He is bigger Yes! You may be troubled on every side, but God will provide a way out for you. You may be suffering persecution, but God is with you. You may be cast down, but you are not destroyed. If you are still breathing, God has a plan to turn what the enemy has meant for your bad around for your good. God is determined and resolute to be glorified in your life. Tell your self, “I am an overcomes, I exercise dominion on every circumstance that do not align itself with God’s perfect will for my life. I am winning and reigning everyday because the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is the same Spirit that lives in me today. I speak life, I speak healing, I speak abundance, I speak miracles and favor over my life and my family. Greater is He in me than he in the world”. Keep saying it don’t stop.

  1. For many years, well since the first time I read and was consumed by this verse I have clung to it!
    It is my overcomer verse.

    Romans 8:28
And we know that ALL THINGS work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

    What this verse says.
It says in ALL THINGS! Not just certain things.
It says “to them that love God”.

    What the verse doesn’t say.
It doesn’t say things will turn out exactly how we want it to in our own limited minds.
It doesn’t say that we will see it happen before our eyes.
It doesn’t say that we will see it work for good in our time frame.

The things that are open ended or without a time frame. When we see the end and the good and how God helped us get through the deep rushing waters, it strengthens our faith! Gives us a testimony! Sometimes it is years later and it is only as we reflect back on our journey that we can then see the hand of God clearly at work and can see how in the here and now it did all work for our good. It just wasn’t quite what we expected to see and therefore often we might miss the entire good that God DID work out of the mess, just as He said He would.

BUT, even when we don’t see it or understand it, we must continue to have faith! Think about Joseph and how at 17 years old his own brothers ditched him and in just about the worst way imaginable. Joseph is such an interesting read! How many of us could have continued holding on with strong faith while facing all the trials that Joseph did? I love the verse found in Genesis 43:30 (Do you think he had a CLUE at this point that God Almighty certainly had always been with him? Just imagine all the years of ups and downs and then this. Oh, the tears of joy and thankfulness deep within, we can only imagine.)

    Genesis 43:30
And Joseph made haste; for his bowels did yearn upon his brother: and he sought where to weep; and he entered into his chamber, and wept there.

That is a picture of an overcomer!
Praise God! Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus!
