Having “mustard seed faith” does not mean the size or amount. Mustard seeds are small, but very resilient. They have the ability to grow in spite of the condition of the land it is deposited into; they don’t need much soil to grow and neither do they need a great deal of moisture or sunshine to flourish. We should be just as resilient and exercise our faith no matter the conditions in our lives. My brothers and sisters, it only takes ONE ACT OF FAITH to turn the situations and circumstances around. If we must cry out: “Son of David, don’t pass me by”; or if we have to go and dip in the Jordan River seven times. Let’s do what needs to be done by faith through obedience and determination. Paul admonished us this is the only way we are going to please God. Pressing forward in faith and obedience, again, causes a reward to be given to the diligent seeker.
Don’t stop! Don’t be discouraged! Don’t succumb to the illusion being presented. Be resilient like the mustard seed; and move forward hallelujah
There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest; in turn to go and look at a pear tree which was a great distance away. The first son went in the winter; then the second went in the spring, the third son went in summer and the youngest son went in the fall. When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen. The first son said that the tree was ugly bent and twisted. The second son said, “no it was covered with green buds and full of promise”. The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen. The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment. The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree’s life. He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season. The essence of who they are; the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up. If you give up when it’s winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall.
Moral: Don’t let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest. Don’t judge life by one difficult season. Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come some time or later.
When a young man got to his house, he realized he lost his key to unlock the door. He went to the 24 hour lock smith near by. But to his surprise the place was closed. He then went to hardware near by to buy a hammer so that he could break the key. But the place was closed also. Which key am talking about?I am talking about the problems you are facing right now. That’s the padlock I’m talking about. The lock smith I’m talking about are the traditional healers and false prophets. The man thought for a while. There is a being called GOD let me pray. After praying the door was open. The padlock was not unlocked, but it was broken. My brother, my sister God never fails, there might be a padlock in your life you have been trying to unlock for years. Give it to God, He fights our battles. Don’t be discouraged, anxious and feel hopeless, God is in control Hallelujah!
When I started using a pen at my primary school, and I made a mistake. I would try hard to erase it before submitting it to my teacher.
Sometimes, I would use a chalk to clean my mistake but it later re-appeared.
So I began to use saliva, it worked, but only to leave holes in my books.
My teachers then used to beat me for being outrageously dirty. But all I tried to do was to cover my error.
One day, a kind hearted teacher who loved me so much called me aside and he said, “Anytime you make a mistake, just cross it and move on”.
He said further “Trying to erase your mistakes would only damage your book for nothing”.
I told him in protest that I don’t want people to see my mistake.
My loving teacher laughed and said “Trying to erase your mistake will make more people know about your mess and the stigma is for life”.
•Have you made some mistakes in life? Cross it over and move on.
Don’t expose yourself as a result of trying to cover your mistakes.
Better things are ahead of you. #POWER!
A preacher was driving home one night with his wife and two daughters in the car. It was raining and dark and because of the intensity of the rain he could hardly see past his headlights. On the way he had to drive over a huge bridge. There were signs posted all along the bridge that said “DO NOT PICK UP HITCH-HIKERS.” There was an institution for the criminally insane near the base of the bridge and sometimes people would escape from it and try to hitch a ride. On this particular night, as he turned his car on to the bridge, he had to drive exceptionally slow because he could hardly see the road. Somewhere near the top of the bridge a man suddenly appeared in the headlights. He was soaked, standing in the middle of the road with his shirt off frantically waving it over his head and screaming.
This preacher’s wife began to say, “Oh please don’t stop, try to drive around him!” But the man was unavoidable and there was nowhere for the car to go to miss him. So he had to stop the car and as soon as he did, the man slapped his hand down on the hood of the car and was screaming at the top of his lungs. The preacher looked over at his wife and said to lock the door after him and not to unlock it until he returned. His family was now crying and pleading with him not to get out of the car. He opened the door and stepped outside…He was immediately soaked from the rain. As he approached the front of the car to grab the man, all of a sudden he could make out what the man was screaming, “THE BRIDGE IS OUT! THE BRIDGE IS OUT! A BUS LOAD OF KIDS JUST WENT OVER!” As these words registered in the pastor’s mind, he looked back in the car at his wife and two daughters. He wrapped his arm around the man and wept in gratitude. The preacher stood there with the man for the next half-hour in the middle of the road, waving his jacket above his head screaming.”THE BRIDGE IS OUT! THE BRIDGE IS OUT!”
For a lost and a dying world, “THE BRIDGE IS OUT!” For a people heading to a Christless Eternity,”THE BRIDGE IS OUT!”
where are the men and the women who will stand in the middle of the road and forbid people to perish ?
HELL HAS OPENED IT’S MOUTH WIDE AND MANY ARE SPEEDING INTO IT. Where are those who will stand in the gap, on the streets, the highways and the byways to forbid multitudes with the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST from going to such a horrible place ?
SPREAD THE GOSPEL
Spread the GOSPEL OF CHRIST and always remember Jesus loves you. AMEN!
