You are an overcomer

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed 2Corinthians 4:8-9. Determine not to spend all of your time looking at your troubles, dwelling on your pain, and thinking of how you have been cast down. Do not throw a pity party today, tell yourself “I am an overcomer through Jesus Christ my Lord and savior”. You might be facing some challenges, but God’s going to see you through it. Do not be distressed, depressed, perplexed or in despair. God is with you and is greater than anything you are facing right now. Focus on your God, not on your problems. He is bigger Yes! You may be troubled on every side, but God will provide a way out for you. You may be suffering persecution, but God is with you. You may be cast down, but you are not destroyed. If you are still breathing, God has a plan to turn what the enemy has meant for your bad around for your good. God is determined and resolute to be glorified in your life. Tell your self, “I am an overcomes, I exercise dominion on every circumstance that do not align itself with God’s perfect will for my life. I am winning and reigning everyday because the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is the same Spirit that lives in me today. I speak life, I speak healing, I speak abundance, I speak miracles and favor over my life and my family. Greater is He in me than he in the world”. Keep saying it don’t stop.

Praise Him anyhow

How do you praise God when you don’t understand what is happening? How do you praise God when everything surrounding you seems to be falling apart? How do you praise God when He seems distant? How do you praise God and keep your eyes focused on Him alone when they are full of tears? Answer is: Do what Job did.
Remember Job? Job 1:20-22 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.
The deeper the hardship, the deeper you should be in seeking His presence in your life. Worship and praise God despite what you going through, don’t stop. Job received one bad news after another, it seems like everything surrounding him was falling apart of which it was, yet God was still seated on the throne. Job knew but he wouldn’t budge. He knew God was his solid foundation and he wouldn’t be moved. The bible says he was a blameless and upright man, he feared God and shunned evil. He had seven sons and three daughters. He owned a lot of livestock. Now the enemy devil wasn’t pleased with the knowledge that Job was a faithful servant of God and wanted to prove to God that if everything is taken away from Job, he will certainly denounce God and curse Him. Job started to lose his possessions, his family and was also attacked physically in his body. He was afflicted with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head (Job l:7).
With all that going on in His life, Job remained faithful to His God to a point whereby his friends couldn’t understand why he was going through what he was going through in the first place.
I reminisce one time when I couldn’t take it any more receiving bad news after yet another bad news. My heart was pained, I told myself I have two options 1. to lay down and cry myself to sleep every day or 2. to get up every morning and give God worship, praise and trust Him completely. As Christians, our options are none anyway, we cannot give up.
Be careful of such friends like Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar. They will come to your life and condemn you for what you going through instead of encouraging and building you up, they will destroy you. Jobs friends where not only his friends but were also known for their wisdom, yet their wisdom was shown to be narrow-minded and not willing to comprehend. God rebuked the three friends for adding to Job’s suffering by their false assumptions and critical attitudes. Job’s material possessions and family were restored, he received even greater blessings than he had before. Those that you really look up to sometimes might not give you the best of the advice, look upon Jesus that is where your help comes from. Those who are persistent in trusting God surely, they will be rewarded. Praise and worship God anyhow.

OVERSIZED Breakthrough in the work for you

IMG_3179I had quiet moment with our living God earlier. Going through prayer request and something resonated in me; Could it be that your been through is preparing you for a GREAT BREAKTHROUGH (Yes hallelujah!). Think about it for a minute, nothing you go through is unnoticed by God therefore it’s not wasted. Those tears shed every night will be turned to tears of joy. He sees and catches every tear, Psalm 56:8 says; You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one on your book.
He sees your hurting heart that moment you feel alone, God is present in your situation. God cares deeply for you and He even knows the number of your hairs in your head. Luke :7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Going through changes is hard. Changing in schools, changing jobs or changes after divorce.
It is said change is good however going through it sometimes can be hard. I remember after going through divorce, the adjustments I had to make in some certain areas. Every change comes with variety of emotions but you need to stay positive, God is ever present in any situation. It seems hard right now but eventually things will fall into place. God is piecing together the puzzle of your life, it can only get better. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
There is an OVERSIZED BREAKTHOURGH in the work in your life, bigger than you think it’s going to be. Hold on to your faith.
